About this list
Most chess teaching in Wrocław is aimed at children. Clubs take them from the first moves to tournament play: Polonia with afternoon groups by age and rating, MUKS MDK Śródmieście, Hetman, AZS Wratislavia, Kopernik, and GKSz Debiut in Długołęka. Kraina Szachów in Gaj starts groups for five- and six-year-olds and teaches in several kindergartens, and the Szachy od Zera programme of Polonia began in September 2026 in a city kindergarten.
Children’s groups also meet at the Zamek centre and the Wojszyce community centre, and just outside the city the Tęcza club in Święta Katarzyna hosts three groups on Wednesdays.
