Tournaments that count for rating 31

Most tournament series around Wrocław count for rating. The Polonia club’s Friday Grand Prix and its Tysiak weekends, the rounds of the Otwarte Mistrzostwa Wrocławia, the Złota Iglica in early May and the Droga do Arcymistrza weekends all appear in the FIDE list of rated events, as do the women’s grandmaster festival, the memorials for Czesław Błaszczak and for Jerzy Laszkiewicz and Piotr Jagieła, and the Lower Silesian district leagues.

Several smaller events are category tournaments, where young players earn Polish chess categories. Outside the city, the Polish amateur championships in Oborniki Śląskie, the Długołęka commune open and the Trzebnica bank cup are rated too.
